Dress Code

In Manarat el Mostaqbal American School we believe that appropriate dress code will insure that all employees present themselves to our students, parents and general public in a manner that enhances their professional position.
All employees are expected to dress in a professional manner. Clothing should be neat, clean, in good repair, and appropriate for on the job appearance at all times. Employees shall not wear on the outside of their clothing jewelry or similar artifacts, distracting, or may cause disruptions to the educational environment.

General Guide Lines

• No Jeans of any color will be acceptable.
• T-Shirts (Other than School affiliated shirts) are not allowed.
• PE teachers only may wear training suits or jogging / wind suits.
• Shoes without back strap only are accepted. Beach style flip-flops are not acceptable attire.
• Athletic shoes are not acceptable for non-PE teachers. However, special needs foot attire, to accommodate for foot problems or appropriate activities, may be addressed by the Principal. Athletic shoes are allowed on the playground and during other times (such as field trips and Physical education) when regular shoes may be a hazard.
• Earrings on females are the only visible piercing allowed.
• Hats are not worn inside.
• Business – Casual and Jeans days will be at the discretion of the Principal.
• Only Physics education teachers are permitted to wear jogging / wind suits. PE teachers shall follow the faculty dress code for their gender on the Parents conference day, PTA meetings, and other occasions when not instructing class.

Extras for Females

• Dress and skirts those are no shorter than three inches above the ground. Dresses and skirts which are ankle length and tight enough to hinder walking are not acceptable attire.
• Low cut blouses; see through clothing, off the shoulder, halter style, tank tops, or clothing that reveals the midriff is not appropriate staff attire.
• Only long sleeves are permitted.
• Blouses, Shirts and T-Shirts should be no shorter than three inches above the knee if worn over slacks.
• Teachers should wear skirts dresses only.

Extras for Males

• Shirts for males shall have collars. Banded collars on button sport shirts, three-button golf shirts, suits, sport coats and dress shirts are permissible. Men are not required to wear ties.
• Facial hair should be kept neat and clean. Hair length will follow the same policy in the student code of conduct (i.e. hair length should not impair vision, must not touch the collar of a t-shirt when measured at full length).
