Dear Parents and Students
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you, as part of our educational family, to the 2013-2014 school year. We are looking forward to another successful and fulfilling year. Our High School staff holds itself to high expectations that every student is given the opportunity to experience the educational process in a positive manner in order to reach his/her potential. We strive daily to reach every student so that all may become innovative, critical thinkers that collaborate effectively, and contribute meaningfully and compete successfully in the global community. It is through education that we as individuals are entitled the chance to move upward in society, maintain self and family, and obtain the skills needed to question and redefine established protocols
I welcome you to our school’s website and hope that you will find it a useful tool as it provides much information about Manarat El Mostaqbal High School. Hopefully you will find the answers to all of your questions and inquiries on our site, but if not, please do not hesitate to call any of our staff for assistance. Furthermore, I hope that our website will keep you up to date with the academic and social occurrences that take place throughout the 2013-2014 school year.
It is expected that parents will be involved and supportive of their child’s learning and will monitor their child’s progress to ensure they are completing assignments and learning the material covered. Parents should feel comfortable contacting their child’s teacher at any time for an update on their child’s progress. This shows our students that their education and work is important to everyone involved. Furthermore, students are expected to meet the high expectations in place for behavior which are consistently and firmly supported by the entire staff team and parents. Following school rules and displaying the virtues of respect, honor and effort is important to all of us for maintaining a safe, positive environment for maximum learning.
So long as the staff team, parents, and students are committed to working together to meet the needs of our student population, together we will build a school that will maximize student learning and achievement; while at the same time provide all students an opportunity to learn and grow academically and socially. Manarat High School will graduate not only well educated students, but responsible young adults who are well prepared to enter the world as productive and positive individuals. It is with great enthusiasm and anticipation that I look forward to traveling down this exciting road with you.
Sincerely
Dr. Nayera Shaker
Head of Middle and High School
